Day 20: North to Alaska
July 1, 2008 - Prince George to Midway, BC
Almost back in the US, just a few miles above the border on Hwy 3.
Not much to the day, just ride, gas up and repeat. Almost 600 miles.
Took 16 out of Prince George and then picked up Hwy 5 down through Kamloops, then towards Vernon and Kelowna. Looked like a more scenic route then straight south out of Prince George on 97. It was a really pretty ride, farms and ranches down in the valleys with some spectacular mountains in the background. Unfortunately it was really hazy, I'm guessing the smoke and haze from the California fires made it's way up here. So, not many pictures. I needed to make time anyway, so it was ok.
